Proper nouns are names of people or places, and titles of books or films. Proper nouns start with capital letters.

Proper Nouns vs. Common Nouns

Proper noun = اسم خاص

Common noun =   اسم عام

 

The easiest way to understand a proper noun is to compare it to a common noun. A common noun is a general word for a type of person, place, or thing, and it is only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence.
